Help with your locator

Start by adding a location or uploading the CSV template. Confirm each store’s address and map position before marking it active. Save your draft, then publish and add the LocatorPilot block to a page in your Shopify theme.

Add the locator to your theme

  1. Save your directory and publish it in LocatorPilot.
  2. Open Online Store → Themes → Customize. In the page selector, choose Pages → Create template. Name it stockists and base it on Default page.
  3. In your new template, choose Add section → Apps → LocatorPilot. Save the theme.
  4. Open Online Store → Pages and create Find a stockist. Select the stockists theme template and save. If the template is in an unpublished theme, preview it in that theme first.
  5. Preview your page and test searching, filters, opening hours and the mobile layout. Make the page visible when ready.
  6. Add the page to your main menu or footer through Content → Menus.

Use an Online Store 2.0 theme that supports app blocks. If you changed the app proxy path in Shopify, set the same path in the LocatorPilot block settings.

Import safely

Use IDs from an export when updating existing stores. Missing rows never delete stores. Import previews show additions, changes and errors before they are applied.

Current beta coverage

Great Britain postcode and place lookup is supported. International stores can be entered with coordinates and found by name or city; automatic international address lookup is not yet enabled. Opening hours and holiday exceptions are merchant supplied. Open-now status uses the store timezone; unknown hours remain unknown. Live inventory is not provided. Northern Ireland postcode lookup requires a separately licensed provider and is not enabled.
